S + game change to 10 x pay

Good day all,
My first post here, hoping someone can clarify for me the procedure for the game change on my machine.  I checked this write up here: http://www.newlifegames.net/spset/gamechange.htm

It says most games only require i change the Reel chip.  How do i know if i need to change the game chip on my machine?  For reference, i have an older style "double jackpot" with  the following chips: SP1154 type 0/1/4/5 (game chip)  and the reel chip is SS3036.  I bought a game kit with reel strips / glass and chips, the game chips ive received are labeled SP1154 and SS7847.  Ive also been sent a SET 015 chip, and when i got the machine it came with a chip that says "set 089" (not sure what that chip does) Ive attached photos.

Both games are type 0, just swap SS chips and you will be good to go.  You just have to do the 61 61-1 thing.

Set Chips are used to enable the bill validator and set the denomination.
Since only your reel chip is changing you likely wont have to do anything with your validator unless your changing denominations.

Even though the machine might be labeled 0.25c some people set it to .01 so they get 100 credits for a dollar as a fast way to put credits on the machine.

Thanks for advice.  So far ive changed over all the glass, thought the center glass would be more tricky but was surprisingly straighforward. Next ill tackle the reel strips which im a bit nervous to do as i dont want to damage it. I suspect once you know how to do it its simple, but havent really figured it out yet.  I guess ill save the reel chip for last, or should i do that before i change the strips?
Does it matter at all that my bill acceptor doesnt work? I cant seem to figure out how to make it work. From what i was told it has a chip for cdn$, it cycles when the machine is turned on, but afterwards it does nothing and makes no attempt to take a bill.

Is the bill bezil lit ? If not that is what the set chip is for.
You pull the game chip, pop in the set, follow the set procedure, pop in the game chip.
This all can be found in ricks faq - bottom right of the home page.

Ive successfully made the game change, everything works as it should, except i still need to figure out my bill acceptor.  Ill make another post for that later, hopefully someone here will be able to give me some advice.

Per the bill validator.
Check out Ricks Faqs on the NLG home page - you can find them bottom right hand side.
There is a section on how to use the SET chip.
Once it is activated the bezel will light.

You mentioned it is a Canadian Bill Acceptor - you will need to use Canadian Bills once it is activated or change heads/transports to American if that is your preference.
