S+ accepts bills, delayed or no credit

DVB 145 will pull in and collect dollar bills.

Does not immediately register credit.  Occasionally will credit later.

Tried ram clear.

Any other fixes?

I really would try meticulously cleaning the optical eyes on the BV head.

Use warm soapy water then rinse with clean water on a dampened rag.

Using anything with alcohol in it only makes the plastic optical lens fog up and makes bill acceptance worsen.

If this fails, I would consider shopping around for a DBV-200 head with the vented power supply unit.

I really don't know anything more about which numbers to get however there is PLENTY of documentation and topics about this here in the S+ area of topics.

The 145 is an older head with 2 way acceptance.
It will only register older bills, none of the new money is accepted.
In addition to the cleaning:
- sometimes belts need to be replaced as they stretch and slip over time.
- A calibration card will help it detect the money correctly.

My suggestion is go to a WBA200 head that can support the new money, its a simple swap of the head and power supply - pretty plug and play.
Buying from a reputable vendor (ie the ones listed on our home page) will ensure you get one that has been upgraded and tested.

The WBA11/12/13 series are even better but then you need to change the transport etc and its a bigger deal.

I cleaned the head, but it didn’t change anything.

Had a spare 145 and it works fine now.


Would be a good idea to upgrade to a 200, but I’m probably not keeping this machine.
