Ticket Printers Ithaca FutureLogic and Sieko ????

I have a couple Ithaca 950 printers that I'm trying to install in Alpha 1 systems running 336 And 317 OS's. Either get "printer comm error" or "printer lost comm during print" errors. My FutureLogics run fine in them (after spending an hour swapping brackets and clearing, etc).

I'll assume it's a printer software thing?? Self test works fine on the Ithaca (holding down feed for 3 seconds prints the configuration/self test list).  Does anyone out there have the cables to Flash these printers?? If you vendors out there would like to trade some alpha flashed FutureLogic printers for these, I'd be open to that also. As maybe my problem is these are Flashed for IGT or WMS machines ()

Oh and I also tried the "turn DIP switch 7 on, if you're experiencing a printer comm error" like the ithaca manual says to, with no change in result.

I think you nailed it! Sounds like they are different protocols (like IGT).

Found my Future Logic unit's problem (I had 3 marked "bad"): The ones that "don't work" in my Bally's say "Netplex" on the top cover. The ones that DO, say "RS232". 
 
Looks like I have 3 IGT printers. Going to call Future Logic on Monday to see about Flashing them (After I move the jumpers on the motherboard) to convert from Netplex to RS232. We'll see if they hang up on me because I'm "not a casino".....

FutureLogic Gen1 also require the board at the back to be changed to the RS232 board.

On your 950's when you hold down the Feed Button and you receive the test ticket, it will tell you what firmware is installed

What is that firmware?

Foster: I have Gen2 Future Logic printers.

I have found that certain Transact Firmware is developed only for the specific manufacturer
