RAM Error S2000

I had this S2000 in storage for 5 years. It was working just fine when stored. Hooked it back up and was getting a battery error. I changed out the CR2034 battery and now getting all types of errors. Mostly RAM Error. Also I get "No recoverable data error",  "Non-Recoverable data error" and "Game Erom CRC Mismatch 0xB00000" I did not change out the battery soldered to the board as I read that battery is not needed.  Any one that can help, I'd really appreciate it!

Just keep turning the jackpot reset key and follow the instructions on the VFD.  That will get you through all the errors and back ready to play.  Hopefully it didn't have a green varta battery on it that leaked all over the place.

So after turning the reset key about 4 times, it told me to push the test/reset button for 2-3 sec. Then it says close the main door. Please close main door remains on the screen. Nothing else happens.

Turned the key many times now it just says close main door. Door is closed and it still says close main door. No battery leak. I checked both sides. Should I remove this batter y or replace it?

Sounds like the varta battery has already done damage to the board.  Board will need to be replaced or repaired.

I'm afraid Mark is right. 

Remove the battery and post some close up pics of that area on the MPU board.  It doesn't take a lot to cause damage. 

When you closed the door you moved the latch all the way down too right?
