BB3 games on S32?
« on: May 31, 2025, 06:14:21 am »
Hi everyone, I have a Blade S32 currently running ArgOS.
What’s needed to install BB3 games on the S32? Do I simply use a BB3 Ram clear card as on NXT-based machines? Any other steps needed, like installing JUR from the USB or doing a factory reset before using the clear card?

My intention is to install the Illinois Game Chest.

Thank you in advance!

So the answer to my question is that you need a NBOT BIOS-module.
The process is then the same as for BB1/2/3 when clearing nvram and installing software.

Of course Leowin! I wanted to play Illinois Game Chest, so my original plan was to buy a BB3 or convert my BB2. A S32 came up for sale locally so I bought that instead as its compatible with BB3 stuff if the BIOS-module is changed to a NBOT one.

S32 to ArgOS:
You will need a new BIOS-module. User Eddiie can probably set you up with a new one. You then change the NBOT BIOS-module to the ArgOS one.

then  quite a few files stored on official SG USB are needed. Sometimes these are sold as packages on ebay and here in the forum. The software needed are divided into:
- Installer
- Windows
- OS
- Game(may need dongles)
- Jurisdiction

The process of installing is then like on any other ArgOS based machine. Home Slots on youtube and others have videos on Youtube describing the process. There is alsoa few posts here in the forum describing the process.

One thing to note is that the S32 is not compatible with all ArgOS stuff due to how it is built and there seems to be no current list of compatible games so there will be som trial and error. Wish you luck and please let me know if and what you manage to install on your machine!
