1090 hopper motor

Hi Folks, picked up a 1090 that seems to all work fine. I'll do a scheduled winning ,all horns and whistle go ,but the hopper motor is not happening.
I put a hopper in from a 1088 ,and all works great, so I know it's isolated to the hopper component.
I've checked connections ,plugs and so forth .All good. Not sure about the capacitors, resistors, relays, on checking those.
Like I mentioned the machine works fine with a different (working) hopper, it the one that came with the machine is not powering up
Any tips on jumping the motor, for inspecting ? Thanks

the only thing in the circuit is the motor and payout relay switches.

first thing to check is whether the payout relay is powering. 

you can test the motor itself by manually closing the payout relay ... which can be tricky depending on where it is.  A chopstick can be useful for poking under the hopper and pushing the payout relay armature down ... assuming the payout relay is under the hopper on you game.

bad capacitors and diodes won't stop the payout relay from turning on the hopper.  Worst case is they cause the machine to shut down after a few coins are ejected ... or blow a fuse if they are shorted.

Thank you ,I found it. A hidden wedged quarter between the knife and the dump shoot. It wedged the motor down

I had a gathering at my house one night and the next day my S was in error mode, I thought someone hit a jackpot that needed to be paid out. I kept turning the reset key but it wouldn’t clear. Thankfully a NLG member suggested I  inspect the hopper very closely. Turns out someone put a penny in the machine and the coin comparitor didn’t reject ( or it was dumped into the hopper by accident) It eventually wedged in that invisible knife slot you speak of! It sure feels good when you find a problem like that!
