Need help with OS needed

I have a IGT G23 and it has AllStar Poker II installed with a09 OS installed. At least that is what is on the USB drive given to me with the machine. (See attached picture)
I want to remove the Allstar Poker and install Game King 8.3R on the machine so I can add slot games as well. I do have a hard drive with multiple games and OS's but do not know if I can just wipe the Allstar Poker and keep the existing OS and install Game King 8.3R.
I wanted to also know how you determine which games go with what theme or OS?

Thanks for your help. I am fairly new to this and enjoy the hobby and want to learn more.

I also want to add that I was just looking at an excel spreadsheet that states you must use AI014B0C OS.
Does this sound right and do I indeed need to change the OS?

GK uses a "B" OS. There are others than B0C but B0C will work. B0E was the latest one I am aware of. Anything other than a GK package can use an "A" OS. You will want to wipe the entire drive if you are going to change the OS.
