19" Ceronix and Kortek LCD Monitors Slant Gameking

Just picked up a Ceronix 1905-LCD monitor and put it in my 044 Slant Gameking. I have to say it seems a little softer image and not as bright as my Kortek original monitor was. Was expecting a newer (2016 vintage) LCD to be brighter than the 20 year old Kortek and have at least as sharp of image. Anyone else notice this with Ceronix LCD monitors?

Also about a 1/4 inch top and bottom on both monitors is cutoff by my two machines bezels but side to side is fine. Do I need to get a different bezel or just maybe trim a little off them?
