S+ goes into free play.

IGT S+, slot machine.
I have been working on the slot machine functions. I have one issue with the program, when the coin is inserted and played it goes into free play by pulling the handle down, both lights light up, If I push the spin button it will function properly locking the handle after a play. This doesn't happen all of the time, but it does happen. Pushing the spin button works correctly all of the time.

I am confused by what you are saying is free play.

Starting with no coins / no credits - Can you hit spin or pull the handle ? and if so does it spin the wheels and pay wins ?
Or does it just allow the handle to be pulled but no reel action ?

Every now and then you put a quarter in the machine pull the handle and play the slot machine, then you can play again without a quarter over and over again. If you hit the spin button it will lock the handle, and play normal again. The spin button works every time, the handle is the issue every now and then.

I have found something out lifting the door handle breaking the door optics and it locks the handle. Back down the door optics then unlock the handle.

Does anyone know if the pull handle, two wiring is the same where it doesn't matter how its plugged into the coil?
