Aristocrat Esprit, reels not spinning

Hi,
I am a new member. Thanks for adding me as a member.
My Mrs bought me my first slot machine. I am in Australia, its a Aristocrat Esprit Wildfire.
I need help and am at a loss on where to ask for help.
It powers up but doesn't spin.
The insert coin to reset light is illuminated, but does not go out after you insert the coin. The arm is released once you put a coin in (10c coin), but the reels don't spin.
You can place the coin in, it recognises a coin has been inserted, pull the arm down and release it back up and nothing.
When you open the machine you can free spin the reels, the stoppers aren't active stopping the reels.
Its a 4 reel machine.
