I am new to slot machines, but just acquired an Aristocrat 3 reel 5 line machine. I have it up and running now but it will randomly light up and flash all the candle lights. If I turn the jackpot key and leave it for a minute it will reset then back to playing. Opening the door shutting power down, holding the reset button, then powering back up works too. Any idea what is causing the error? I would think it would display an error code on the digital display but all i get is a 0 in the Winner Paid window. Or, all of the digital numbers blink in series. I reset and get 2 to 15 pulls then it errors again.
Any info would be awesome.

Batteries on MPU may need changed. Check the Green battery on the MPU for acid leakage. Remove it if it is leaking and hopefully it has not damaged traces on PCB.

if traces are already damaged, would the machine start ans show the error at the display?

i think that would be a good sign  that it is only empty?

is there a procedure to reset after a batt. swap ?
