IGT Poker Monitor not coming on

I recently aquired an IGT draw poker machine model 1070D made in 6/87. The monitor will not come on so I have been unable to test.

Can you verify that the game plays blind?
In other words, does it accept a coin and let you press Deal? Its a PE so it should make a tone when you deal a deck.  Goal is to determine if the problem is the game or the monitor.

We can help you get it working or get a replacement board. Those games are great and relatively easy to get working.

Thanks fo your reply! Upon plugging it in, I pessed deal and the wheel spun for about 30 seconds. Also when plugged in, the bottom of the two lights on top is lit and when deal is pressed the top light flashes three times then stops. Just out of curiosity I pressed "test" and nothing happened, and I pressed deal again with no response of the dealer. It did not come with a deck as advertised on the front. There is also a quarter in the coin changer, I assume for free use, I'm not sure. I'm trying to find the manual on Ebay, but haven't yet been successful.

The coin in the coin-comparitor is a sample, because its a comparitor so it needs to know what it is comparing each coin to.

There are possibly two things going on. First, its possible the battery on the game board is dead and the game is booting to an error screen.
Two, its possible the monitor board needs service (capacitor kit, etc) so even if the game is booting with an error you cant see the error on screen.

A manual probably won’t help really. You, or someone, with some knowledge of electronics will need to get in there. You can send those two circuit boards in and have them evaluated. For a PE there are several of us who could put those boards in our machine and see what is wrong. They aren’t expensive to ship.

I am so sorry for the delay. I recently became aware that I am not seeing all posts and responses to conversations.

If you are specifically looking for repair you should contact K-Lar, one of the business on the NLG front page. They can test and repair.

If you want one of us to put the board in our machine I can do that for you. However I don’t do repairs on game boards other than battery change.
