Wanted, Double Diamond Deluxe or Haywire kit

Looking for a Double Diamond Deluxe or a Haywire kit for a S2000 with 16" top glass. I need the whole kit, Top, bottom glass, reel strips, reel glass and SB chip. Other nudge type games considered. Let me know what you have. Shipped to 80550 please.

If you want to expand your search An S+ kit will fit the bill......same size as S2000
Easier to get a SIMMs than glass/strips.

You can even use some S+ chips with a certain base S2000 sim.

Not having a S2000 of my own.

There are themes like Pink Panther and Munsters that were created for S2000
To use these on the s+ the strips are the same but the knotch on the top of the strip is in a different place so you have to offset it a bit like one or two symbols and it works fine.

I suspect that the Haywire S+ would be the same in reverse with the S2000 SIMs.
If you are using the S+ chips in the S2000 then its likely no offset would be necessary.

I did the Haywire mod to my S+ and it was actually very easy.

It had Double Diamond 3CM glass and the correct strips which is the harder part to source if you actually want Double Diamond Haywire glass.  It's hard enough getting good Double Diamond glass as it's one of the more popular games.  But if you have or get Double Diamond 3CM glass, it's just a chip swap on the S+ (and S2000 I believe).

Where it listed:
If you have a Double Diamond, you can give it Haywire action by using the reel prom from a Double Jackpot Haywire theme.  This will make some pays "Haywire" and duplicate the pays.

Given the actual Haywire glass is so hard to source. I just did the mod.  The paytables are the same, if the strips alrady match the Double Diamond that's installed (they should) they will remain correct, and I think it's more fun for the player to not know the Haywire is even in there. The uninformed will think the machine is malfunctioning and paying them when it shouldn't, which is kinda funny.  lol  And it made it a lot easier. 

I needed to switch the Double Diamond SS chip with a Double Jackpot SS chip.  If I recall I used SS7684.  I looked at the SS chip number in the files section for IGT S+.  The PAR sheets are great to identify strips without the actual strip numbers, and each strip has the same strip number since they're identical.  Actually shows each symbol in ASCII.  And I was using DD strips, not DD Haywire strips.  But strips match the glass, and the payouts are the same.

Also the same (72)AAA strip layout.

I also had Double Diamond Deluxe on another machine which has the nudge feature.  That can be a little easier to source glass and strips for if you go that route.  Then you can just replace the SS and SP chips for the nudge type SP chip. (type 5)

Double Diamond 3CM has stops of (72) AAA on the strips.

Double Jackpot Haywire also has stops of (72)AAA on the strips.

So they have the same offset, 3 identical strips are used on both.  The actual strip numbers can be tricky to identify.  So I looked at the PAR sheets that shows the symbols on each strip and found the symbols on the strips did match.  I sold my S+ though.  I should have documented the actual strip numbers...

Double Diamond is an SP Type 0 game

TYPE 0   For comparison purposes, all Type 0 games are listed under the 'Standard' category of S-Plus games with no special features, existing as numerous varieties. Name of the Type 0 game is normally taken to be the graphics theme assigned to the game. All Non-System Software Slot Game Types use a Standard Type 0 data table file as the development base. STANDARD - NO SPECIAL FEATURES

Haywire is a type 2 game.

TYPE 2   Special S-Plus: The game will pay out certain awards (as prescribed by the pay table) a predetermined amount of the total pay, then re-spin the reels to the current win combination and pay the predetermined amount again. This will continue until the total amount has been paid.

Going from memory, but I'm not 100% sure the chip numbers are correct.  I swapped the original SP chip to SP779.

And installed a high payout Double Jackpot Haywire SS chip from it's SS chip list.

Then just clear/set/enable the BV.

Given this was an S+   But as far as I know, same can be done on an S2000.

RB would know the exact chips, and likely be able to supply you with them.

So if you have a Double Diamond 3CM with matching glass and strips, converting so it has the Haywire behavior is fairly easy.  Swap the SS and SP chip.

That's what I did and the result was a DD machine with matching glass/strips.  Strips aligned and payouts were correct.  But the Haywire behavior is in place.  It just didn't actually have Haywire glass.
Easiest.

Can't mix the nudge functions though.  That needs different strips, and is a type 5 SP chip.

Personally I like the Haywire, and I'm perfectly fine with it not advertising it's Haywire on the glass.  Makes it kind of unique I think.

But if you need the chips.  I'd shoot a PM to RB with what you have now for glass and strips (are all 3 strips identical?)    He can likely tell you in a pinch if you can just do a chip swap (and likely has the SS and SP chips you need) or if you need to change anything else.

As for Haywire glass.  Can be hard to find.  But you can get the same result, the pay glass and strips match, with regular DD glass and strips.

I don't have an S2000 so can't tell you much on that, but they are similar enough that "I think" it's the same process.

I could swear there is an exact writeup on doing this on an S+ with chip numbers and everything on NLG.   But I couldn't find the post.
