WBA 13-SS

I have a S2000 WBA 13-SS. The WBA has been working for a long time, but it has started not taking all tickets. I have printed new tickets and it doesn't take some if them.  I  have cleaned the BV and re-calibrated it. I  am not sure if it is re-calibrating. I set the dips 5678 to on. When I insert the calibration strip it goes in and stays a few seconds and ejects it. It doesn't recycle it several as it states it should. The bezel light starts flashing, it think. But it still doesn't take some tickets. I  tried some rejected tickets in my other machine and it takes them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The only thing I can think of is: are you inserting the white or black side of the calibration paper first?

I  am inserting the black end first. Do you think it is calibrating if it is not recycling several times. When it ejects the strip it will not take it again unless I restart the machine. Really weird.

I'll be honest with you, I've NEVER had to calibrate my S2000.
I've had my DD Haywire I got from Jim Bettor Slots since 2006-7?   :scratch-head_3:

I  have had mine since 2010 and this is the second headfirst it. It has worked fine up until several months ago.

The calibration process you described sounds correct. Pulls in the calibration paper in and out 2-3 times and ejects. Rapid flash of the bezel shows the calibration is complete without errors. Most likely why it did not help is because the WBA's are 25 years old and some components are failing and not working properly. Chech with Jim Midwest Slots as he has for sale WBA heads, tested, new drive rings, calibrated.

The problem is the paper is pulled in only one time in for a few seconds and is ejected. The calibration paper only goes in about 3/4 of the way
It does not recycle the calibration paper any more only one time. It does give a rapid flash after the one cycle. Do you have any why it only pulls the paper in only 3/4 of the way and only one time? Is it possible it calibrate that one time.

I suspect your scanner head has failed and won't calibrate properly

Would that be the BV? Would that be the cause of the calibration paper not going in all the way in and only scanning one time them ejecting the paper. The confusing thing is it takes some tickets just fine.

If it is the scanner head/ BV is it possible to repair or purchase another one.
