BB2 Star Trek won't load

I just tried to turn on my Star Trek slot and got a message saying  " NV ram KO.  may be corrupted. System halted."                 
I've changed the batteries, which is all I know how to do.  Completely lost after that.
Can anyone help me get this started again?

Did you do a clear after the battery change?

    Thanks for the speedy reply Rick.   I don't think I can clear the machine. The screen never finishes booting. It hangs up right after a message that says NV or HD may be corrupted. Below that message it reads   System Halted.  I will attempt to add a pic., but my first try was unsuccessful.

Are you using a bootable CF clear card???

If you don't have that, you can't clear corrupted NVRAM.

A clear card will always boot a machine and report it cleared the machine.  Anytime you change games you must use that first.  Then once it clears, you can install the OS and game CF to load a new game. 

If a clear card won't boot and complete clearing the NVRAM, then the machine has bigger issues.

      I forgot about clearing the Machine.  Machine was cleared -restarted and thought I was back in business, but in set-up , the only things that popped urp were Sound and Touch screen.  No other boxes were shown.       I am about to try to clear it again.    Thanks, guys, for your help.  Cross your fingers.

To setup, make sure you aren't turning the key to enter setup, and are pressing the white push button inside the machine.

CPU door open, and of course, the main door. 


Just a guess, but if you enter setup in just "attendant" mode that you get by turning the key, and not full setup mode, you only have options like sound and such whiich is all you're seeing.

On my machine to get Star Trek the 6 game one to work I need to take my oled keyboard out and install a manual keyboard. I tried everything flashing the oled versions and whatnot but I can never get Star Trek 6 game to work.  I have a couple standard not oled keyboard laying around so that is what I personally do. I tried new CF cards and different Os versions honestly everything. It locks up like you said on boot.  If you are using oled keys and you have a standard button one give it a whirl.  Otherwise idk. Haha I’ve played it and love it very much just sad it hates oled.  As a footnote I did get that same NVRAM corrupted. I’d reflash the oled unit and it would flash the keyboard again on install and I’d get the same back.
