Advantage 5

Like to talk to someone that knows Konami Advantage 5 trying to get one going and i can only get a few things to power on like no signal input on upper screen lights and fan on cpu and top reel light all plugs on distribution box works have red light on and faint green light on power supply

the top monitor only says no signal? never gets to the chek CRC of the boot?
Do you have any leds on the MPU (just to the right of center in the front of the board if you open the logic door.

Are you sure you have a working display?
Check the pins on the back of the MPU they bend very easily if the MPU isnt lined up in that stupid plastic rail just right.

Have you checked voltage coming from the PS ? 12 and 24 Volts?

I have all green lights on board I checked orange and yellow and have 12v and 24v on them never seen it run i bought it missing vfd i will check mpu but i get no other lights except what i say above no vfd screen or any leds

itll still go through the crc check and boot without the VFD itll just throw a VFD malfunction once the game is loaded. 
So your ledson the MPU are blinking in a sequence when powered on?
Do you ever hear the BV cycle or anything like that?

Are you sure you have all the required ROMs in there and the CF card for the game?

I reseated all software checked the monitor with another one tne chips had a security tape over them i don't have a bv it's coinless i have all soild green lights on cpu board it seems like nothing getting to the backplane board

Do you have the clear chip for the advantage K2v?
Have you tried resetting it when you first got it?

When you do power it on
those leds on the mpu (See pic)
Do they go through a series of flashing different sequences for about a miniute to three minutes and end up after maybe three or four minutes with solid green in the back row # 1 position (Left side) and a blinking green on the front row far right side
Or something different?

Also check the voltage on the two coin cell batteries - you will need a clear chip if doing that though it will come up with an ID mis match error if it gets working.

Triple check the connections on the backplane
Approach it from the look of searching for a hidden connector not connected - Not just making sure what is plugged in is plugged in tight. 
Make sure there isnt a small connector tucked behind something that inadvertanly got missed.

As soon as i turn the machine on front row is soild green and back row left is soild green with a flash of red on right side back row stayd like that i changed the 3 batteries they were dead and the clear card i have says konami gen clr rccc200g-cf is this the right clear

Did you change the batteries before you posted or did you just do it now?

My clear doesnt have a label on it so  thats not much help on a correct version.
I take it though that you havent used it..  Does it do anything if you install the clear in the bottom cf slot and boot?

Im asking to try and determine if the game is loading and you just have no video
so need to know the final led display

is everything else on the game functional minus the vfd

No the led lights stay soild all the time no blinking at all i changed the batteries as soon as i got it it has no reel bump or nothing it does have the led reel optics lit putting in the clear card i have it does the same thing

Yes it does the same thing as with the software in it i get nothing more

Lots of unknowns with the machine so what level of trouble shooting do you want to do(Or can you do, or are you set up to do) with the game vs the good ole parts grenade?

I don't have any special equipment I can do troubleshooting with a multimeter  this is my first Konami but i have other machines that I have got going before my email address is scotthobbs1966@gmail.com I can send you a video of what it does but it is too big for website
