Questions on Game King

Hi all
I have some questios on my newest purchase. I just bought a Game King slot machine and I was told it has a 3902 game board.
1. It does not have a "Bet One" button so the only way to play is "Max Bet" on all games. Is this normal?
2. The top series of buttons  have no functions. Does the game need to be reprogrammed for those buttons to be functional?
3. The Max Bets are set to high. For instance on most games it is set to 100 coins on .25, .50, $1 and $5 so if I lose a few hands I have to reload the machine. Can that be changed?
4. What would I need to do to ad a "Bet One" button?

I'm no expert on Game King, but I do have one. It looks very much like yours but mine has the 044 board. Your machine seems normal to me, except for the lack of the Bet One button. Most of my buttons seem to have no function either, but it depends on the game you are playing. Different type games use different buttons. The Bet One button is not used in all games. The top 5 buttons on the left have no function on my machine. At least I never noticed them light up.

As far as the Bet One button, look inside the door to see if there are harness connectors there for the button, or maybe there is a loose button stuffed in there dangling on the harness. You should be able to remove the blank and install that button.

Using the front buttons, you should be able increase or decrease the bet for each denomination. For example on a slot game, you can choose the number of paylines and amount of the bet. The function of the buttons change with poker.

Thanks I like the look of the machine as well, that’s what drew me to it. I looked inside the door and don’t see any sort of wires to hook to a bet one button. I will give a better look.  I have played every game that is set up in the machine and that top row of buttons don’t do a thing. The guy I bought it from didn’t know much about it but he said the top row is for slot play. There are 4 slot games loaded but none use those buttons.

Top row buttons are for I-games.  The 1 line button may be the bet one button and legend was not changed.  If not the wires for it should be there and you can swap them.

I took another look inside the door and did find what I think are the connections and they are right next to the cash out button. So if I find a bet one button assembly all I would have to do is pop it in  and connect the wires and I am good to go, or would the game need to be reprogrammed?

No reprogramming needed. You need one button assy, or button, bulb & legend.

You can add the bet one button to the deck, but it will only function if the game software supports it.  Poker games normally do, most I-games do not.

Your machine supports the Bet One button. It's not a waste of time installing it. The point being made is that not all the individual games will support it. The slot games won't use it, but most poker games will. The way to tell whether it is enabled in the game you are playing is whether the button lights up. Hope this makes sense.

You can just remove the wires from the line 1 button and attach the bet one wires to it like this:

I will try and find the correct button assembly. Then I would need to figure out what color wire goes to tabs on the switch

On most machines you can decode the wires pretty easily. Ground is usually pretty consistent, once you understand that most buttons complete a connection to ground it starts making sense.
The pattern of colors for the bulbs is usually similar. The pattern for buttons is similar.
Meaning the bulb wires might be gray with a color stripes while wires for the buttons are orange with a color stripe. The ground wire simply goes from NO on one switch to common on the next in line.
If you look at the other buttons you will see the pattern. I don’t have a GK to look at though.
