Bally model S62B33T-00 S5000 or 5000plus

Good evening, I have what I am told is a Bally S5000. I recently sent the board out to have it reprogrammed as I could not clear the "83 safe ram code." The MPU battery was changed prior to me sending the board out, so the battery is brand new.  I installed the board after it was returned to me and the machine worked flawlessly. I then had to move the machine. After relocating it and plugging it in, I got "83" error code again. I have read similar posts and one post where the owner's slot is also a firecracker, it mentions that "clear chips" are needed. I am mystified as to why moving the machine would give me the safe ram 83 error again and also don't want to leave power on the machine 24/7 either. If someone could guide me through clearing the error, that would be fantastic. Thanks in advance, Rick.

A couple of things to add. I did locate the U12 and U15 chips. They are on the main MPU PCB board under a smaller PCB that plugs into the MPU board. I have not done anything to this point with the exception of removing the smaller board to access U12 and U15.
The pseudo coin button on this particular machine is not on the MPU PCB, it is a push buttonon the PCB on the inside of the coin door. On the MPU PCB, there are two black buttons to the left of two red LED's that can be pressed on the MPU board, one is marked SW1 the other is SW3. Which button/s do I press? I did purchase Clear EEPROMS, but have not installed them yet. Thanks,

I am not posting to help you with your situation, I wish I could, but I don't have any memories of how we used to clear nvram on the S5000.  I stumbled on your post, because I was trying to find information on the first 'bonus' game I ever worked on during my first job back in 1991/1992.  My memory was that it was called 'Fireball' and I still argue that it was the first dynamic 'bonus' round in a slot machine. Now that I see your photos here..this is IT! Firecracker, and once I saw the firecracker symbols those neurons started to fire.  I actually wrote the code for the small lamps behind the 50/100/150/200 sections behind the top glass, and those would cycle and determine the actual pay for 3 firecracker symbols.
Thanks for posting and giving me back some of my memory.  Would love to see the game in action once you get it working!
