Cherry payout issues on 1202

Not sure if this is the right section for this since it's the end of the line for the em and has a few electronic components..So my 1202 5 reel 3 coin has a intermittent pay issue on 3 cherries. I get 3 different results depending on the reel combinations.  This one has 2 cherries on reel 1 and 4 cherries on reels 2 and 3. I get 10 coins and a bell on 2 of them.  10 coins on 6 of them (with no bell) and 18 coins on the remainder.  I took the reel assembly out and checked to see if any of the wipers were acting up and didn't see anything gross and obvious.  I've scoured the web for schematics of the reel wipers and only thing I've found that's close is one for the 1099, but that's a 3 reel 5 coin set up.  Now,  this is not a make or break issue, But it sure is perplexing.  This machine is not a full fledged e series, but it does have a card on the first 3 reels. So anyone have suggestions on where to start/ look on this? I'll deal with the occasional one coin off issue later.  Thanks!.
