Problem with HOLD buttons on CEI 906 Turbo with 4 Poker Games and Blackjack. There is about a 5 seconds delay for the HOLD buttons to light up. Otherwise the game functions fine. I put the board in another CEI 906 machine where the hold buttons work fine with the board that is in it and with the turbo board there is the hold button delay.  So there has to and be a problem with the MPU turbo board itself. Is it possible that there could be a problem with 1 or more of the 4 game eprom chips? Does anyone have an idea what is causing my problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Can anyone offer any suggestions for a possible reason for the excessive delay on the light up the HOLD buttons on my CEI 906 Turbo poker slot?

I am still of the same thinking as last time I gave a suggestion.
If you follow the schematic or follow the trace of a bulb you will find an IC somewhere that controls that bulb.
There is possibly a 555 timer IC (or not) involved in the circuit. Something in that circuit has gone out of tolerance. Possibly a capacitor or resistor. A tech would need to be standing in front of the machine or at least have the board in hand. As mentioned, K-Lar has a test station for those and one of the few techs who can work on them.
We might be able to spot something if you post a clear picture of the board from the top.

Thank you for your suggestions, Since I am not savy with electronics, I guess I will have to bite the bullet and invest cash in a machine that basically nobody will pay anything for. I have two of the same turbo boards that have the exact same game and work, but both boards have the same problem with the delay on the hold buttons light up. Other than that, they work fine. Strange, huh?

Yup. I have two machines like that. I was excited to buy them for under $100….then it began! Now after investing more than they are worth I hope someone will buy them so I can free up the space.

Is there an interface board the MPU connects to on the back of the machine?

Those machines are notorious for oxidation on the pins and solder joints that dry up and crack on the pins. I suppose there could be a problem like that. If you have two boards that behave the same way in that machine, you have already narrowed it down to something inside the case. Backpane board problem (MB), wrong bulbs (take awhile to illuminate with lower voltage), a Gremlin hiding inside…etc.(Im not talking about a car, LOL)

Most of us on the forum are not technically trained, we learned by tracing wires, guessing, looking at schematics and learning to read them on our own. Schematics are like road maps. If you don’t wish to learn how to troubleshoot, you are probably in the wrong hobby. There aren’t that many people who can tell you what is wrong without being in front of the machine.

Both of my boards act the same when put into another CEI machine that works just fine.
So, the problem seems to me to be on the boards themselves not anywhere in the case or the back board.
I am thinking that there could be a problem with the game chips. Maybe that could be checked if I had the correct
checksums for each chip to verify them as being correct.
