For my 2c $1800 seems a bit steep especially because the Genie Bottle topper is not there.

Any S+ can morph into any other S+
Any S2000 can morph into any other S2000 and a S2000 can use S+ kits but you don't get the cool sound of the S2000 kits.
Ie Munsters can be played on the S+ but with a S2000 you get the cool theme music.

The real question is can you find the I dream of Jeanie game kit.
This would be glass, strips, and the Simms
If so you can install that in any S2000 which you can generally pick up for well under $1k.
