 First off i am a rookie and just started getting into machines and any info would be a huge help and greatly appreciated.
I have also tried to research as much as i could on this machine and i come up with dead ends everywhere. I have come to assume these machines are not very popular but i could be wrong.

i have a Sigma
SMOKIN' 777 REEL MACHINE and the display reads BILL VALI DOOROPEN & NOW BILP. ABET 0
I have replaced the battery and cleared that code and then this shows up. I have no idea haw to get it gone. I have removed the bill validator and can, cleaned them up a bit and reinstalled. Still get the same message. Every step i double checked and did twice.... still there.... I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

What version of Sigma machine is your machine? There should be a metal ID plate on the right side of the machine.
There are manuals in the file system for several sigma machines but you need to be a contributing member to access them.

Usually you start the machine with the reset ket turned. If you don’t have the key you can use a wire inside the key connectors to complete the connection.
That should put the machine in setup mode where you use the buttons on the front panel to navigate the menu and turn the BV on.

Some other models go into setup by starting the machine then pressing the white button on the power switch panel twice. Its inside to the left of the hopper.

Does the date say 1991?
I would need to see the board to know if its an SG series.
Either way you need togo into settings to activate BV.

When I zoom in on the OG pic and look closer at the plate it definitely looks like 9-01.  I still have yet to find how to turn on the BV.  I have tried the same process as the IGT but still nothing.  In fact I can not find much on the Sigma machines anywhere.   Google searches seem to always come up with nothing close to what I am trying to do.

Would love to help but you need to be our eyes. We cannot see the machine so you need to do the leg work.
1. Picture of the entire machine from front
2. Picture of machine with door open
3. Picture of the computer board. Or in some cases there were Sigma machines with computer-like motherboard on a slide-out tray.
4. A picture of the power supply unit, especially if thats where the test button is.
5. A picture of the side of the machine with the reset lock (s)

I just about guarantee you if two or three of us had a good visual of the machine we could get into setup, or at least make some progress, but what we cannot do is wave a wand and make your machine start working.

Some time in the early 2000’s Sigma merged with another company and they started using a different system, it wasn’t anything like an early Sigma machine. Its basically a PC running a CD Rom. We need to see what you see.
