MEI Advanced USB as RS232, is it possible?

Hello everyone, I'm asking if it's possible to change the firmware on an Advanced USB header (snc8548G) so that it works on an RS232 chassis and doesn't cause any issues.
I've run several tests and am confident that the entire wiring system, the P553 interface board, and the communication with the backpanel are correct, since it works correctly with an RS232 header.
Despite changing the firmware and reprogramming the bill type, when connecting it, after a few seconds it displays a bill-disconnected error.
It's interesting that when it starts up, it performs the entire positioning and stacking process correctly, without errors.
Can anyone with more knowledge than me help me?
