New project.  I replaced the 5101 chips and put in a new test switch.  Need some advice on tilt and door issues.

1. After reset, I able to make one pull after any number of coins (all recognized).  On the second coin/pull, the first reel stops, but 2 and 3 keep spinning with a tilt error.
2. Originally, I had a door open code 50000, but now it doesn't override the previous sate.  Both switches test good.
3. I have to hold the reset button for several seconds while toggling the test button to enter any test state.
4. Other test states/results appear normal.

You may want to invest in an updated power supply and a updated hopper control board from KLAR.

The hopper control board is sketchy with some corrosion.

The voltages on the power supply test to proper levels.  Is there a way to do a load test on the power supply/board? 

The hopper will spit out coins in test mode.

After some cleaning and minor adjustments to match the specs in the E Series Service Manual, I was able to get all three reels to activate and stop - often three times before a tilt.  Payouts appear inconsistent and generous.  A noted contradiction to the spec is the polarity of the Cam Switches.  At rest, my Arm Switch is normally closed, and my Kick Switch is normally open.  When I tried the polarity in the spec, I couldn't get it out of the tilt condition.  See diagram.

Any ideas on why my configuration is reversed?

Off to check the reel boards to the extent that I can.
