Request of European Video Slots Gaming Machines Section

Hello NLG Community,

Greetings from Tanzania.

This year, I am proudly celebrating 30 years in the casino industry, including 18 years working with CT Gaming (formerly Casino Technology).

I would kindly like to suggest the creation of a dedicated section within the forum for European Video Slot Gaming Machines, or alternatively, the addition of the following categories under the existing Video Poker, Keno, Slots, and 21 Gaming Machines section:

• Novomatic
• EGT (Euro Gaming Technology)
• CT Gaming (Former Casino Technology)
• Apex
• Kajot

In many countries across Europe, Africa, Central America, and South America, these manufacturers represent a significant portion of casino floors, in some markets exceeding 50% of installed gaming machines.

Adding these categories would help expand the forum’s technical knowledge base, attract more international technicians and operators, and further grow the community.

I've rarely seen requests for help regarding these games/manufacturers, if any actually - at least in the last few years.
I could just create a general "European Video Slots" and say "including" the brands you mentioned.
We would need a moderator. Are you up for it? If the board expands I could add additional boards to it for whatever specific brand or brands  starts getting more posts.

One of the reasons why requests for help regarding these games/manufacturers are relatively rare is because these manufacturers usually provide highly tailored support to their customers. When issues arise, operators typically contact their assigned factory support representative, who is already very familiar with the existing configurations, hardware architecture, and casino setup.

Many of these platforms also use straightforward hardware designs, such as off-the-shelf Mean Well power supplies or integrated boards that manage the entire machine without complex backplanes or  I/O cards, which makes troubleshooting significantly easier.

However, there will always be that issue appearing at 21:00 on a Saturday or Sunday, when factory support is unavailable — or cases where machines eventually end up in private collections or man caves without any official support structure in place.

That is exactly where NewLifeGames technical community can become extremely valuable.
