bb2 vs blade

I am unfamiliar with Williams machines and I just wanted to get some peoples opinions on differences between the BB2 and the Blade (BB3). I am wanting to play the 2 in 1 invaders from the planet moolah and invaders return from planet moolah but as far as I can tell you can only get that on the bb3. I see some people "upgrade" their bb2 to run bb3 games and just wanted to know if it was more cost effective to maybe get an as is machine from somewhere like SMU and upgrade it, or just get a bb3 instead. I've purchased as is machines and fixed them up before and I find it enjoyable, just wanted peoples opinions on the idea and some info. Thanks!

Imo get a BB2 and just buy the upgrade parts. You can also run BB1 games on a BB2 machine with a BB1 CPU

To upgrade to BB3 on a BB2 cabinet you will need a CPU-NXT3.2, The power harness, and an Emotive Controller with the power cable and USB cable for it. Without an Emotive Controller you will get a "Cabinet type not allowed for this game" error.
