INEXPENSIVE LED LIGHTING PART 1

got some machines in, never saw this before!  but looking at the LED bulb, the only difference is the plastic outer shield. The tech's measured out 1 foot of LED strip,soldered two wires to the end of it and tied it into the +13vdc.  these strips were designed to be cut every two inches and the wire attached to whatever length you want. doing so research I found two types of SMD LEDS, used in the strips,appear to be SMD3528 and  SMD5050.Cost could be 8/10 dollar range per bulb. I guess you have to really research the types available, lots of variables,the 5050 are run on 25vdc.        Jim

I have been thinking long and hard about doing this but with MULTI COLOR LED STRIPS for Bally Alpha.


What I want to do is create the Alpha 2 Side lighting treatment on my Alpha 1s... The problem is that I don't know how or if I could wire my own harness to a strip of generic multi-color LEDS so when the game triggers a bonus, the lights would change color and start its sequence of patterns. I have the super candle already doing this but would love to do this with the side lighting.
