vision rfa update

got an rfa 25 card to update my monitor today. put it in the top slot started it up, it loaded a bunch of data, at the end it said to turn off power before removing card. I took out the rfa & put the ata card in the side slot. Now I just have a black screen. Any Thoughts?

Ata card goes in the top slot and the Rfa would of been in side slot if it updated put ata in top let me know

Put a jumper on next to the memory sticks at the bottom left of the board and you can see everything the monitor is doing. Not sure what SB chips you have, but 248's and 380"s work very well with vision. Also 248's like vs009gx0 and 380"s like vs011gx1. no VFD sounds like a chip is not good. Was the VFD working before you started? Put RFA in side without any card in top. After update remove RFA and insert top ATA.

VFD was working when I started, Running SB00060, SG248's, & VS009gx0 chips.

Wrong bill val was causing the no disp. I put the correct one in & the game came right up, still have a black screen though. I am guessing the screen must have taken a dump right after I updated it.  :hissyfit: Is there any way to test the screen or should I just replace it?

When you swing moniter outwards there is a metal plate on the far left underneath there is a small board that sends power to the lcd the compasitor might have blown I would look at that

While looking for the cap, my light shined on the screen & I could see the images on the display. Is there some kind of brightness setting?

You've lost the back light for the display.
You will need to open up the display and recap
or replace the high voltage board.
