Universal 3 Reel, Reels Keep Spinning (RE?) Error Code?

Hey Folks!


Just picked up what I believe is a 1988 Universal slot machine.  I'm having some issue with it but first I thought I would get it ID'd by the community to get me started on the right foot.  Below are some pictures to aid in the process. Let me know if I can add anything else to ease the identification process. Thanks in advance for all of your time!

Early Universal skill-stop machine, my guess is 1982.
I have no manual for this machine nor have I ever fixed one. Many components same as Universal casino slot, many not.

SO, now that ID is pretty much taken care of, here is a video showing my issue.  It fires up just fine, but the 3 reels just keep spinning.  From what little I Was able to dig up from the net' It has been suggested that it is either one or all of the flag sensors inside the reels or the control board (which I am not not sure if that's the one behind the reels).


Any help from you guys is greatly appreciated.  Thanks again!

My computer would only play the sound from your mp4 so I didn't see the video.
I dug through all the old archives and found pretty much nothing on this machine. But it seems like I remember the stop buttons on the door have a control board inside the door, behind the buttons. This board maybe the problem. I vaguely remember that this board was a problem to another Tropicana owner.

When does the RE code appear? When you first start the machine? When you first start a game? A few seconds after reels start? 

Have you tried pushing the stop buttons?
