Cash Out Flashing

I am a new to posting and have tried to find an answer on the board and the old board. I currently have 3 S2000 machines where the cash out button is flashing and I have two machines that do not. My question is what needs to be changed to have the other two machines flash. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to NLG! That is a question that has been on here before. Some say it's because of a wiring issue. But it could be just the chips in your machine. I have S2000s that flash. S+ machines that some do and some don't. I don't know a good answer to give you. I haven't seen a setting on an S2000 to make the cash out button flash. If anybody else has please chime in.

I thought the flashing thing was low paper, I could be wrong though.

I have all Barcrest machines, all 3 board combinations in use and all use different SG chips. All cash out buttons flash when there are stored credits on the machine. If they flash or don't flash you can't change it in the programming

I can offer something here. The cash out button flashes on all my S2000 machine when there are credits on them. SG363 chips are on the 504 board machines & SG523 on my 1270 enhanced boards. SG598 chips on enhanced boards do NOT flash. My personal preference is to have them flashing so all my machines are uniform. If you want to stop the flashing change to SG598s on the enhanced boards. You can use them on the 50x boards as well but I still think 363s perform better on them.

Thanks tor the help. If I order the SG363 and the SG523 chips to get the other two machines to flash the cash out light what will be involved in the changing of the chips? Thanks again for the input!!!

Hi TCR.
  To change any chip(s) you first MUST be sure the power is off the machine. (I pull the plug myself to make absolutely sure.)
Remove the MPU carrier and place it on a flat solid surface so it doesn't  move or rock.
Before you touch any chips or circuits on the board, touch the metal carrier to ground any static electricity that may be present.
Using a chip extraction tool, remove the present chip [ONE AT A TIME ] from the socket. Take careful notice of the NOTCH on the current chip and orient your new chip in the SAME direction.
Place the new chip in the socket, with the notch pointing in the correct position, and slowly and carefully make sure that ALL the pins are in the socket.
Press down on the middle of the chip and seat the chip fully [size=78%]into the socket.  You may have to press each end of the chip to fully seat the chip.[/size]
Check that ALL the pins are still fully in the socket.  If all is well, go on to the next chip following the same pattern.
When all chip(s) have been successfully changed, put the carrier back into the machine.  Press firmly on the carrier to be sure you have it fully seated.
Power up and check your results.
