It is a pretty sweet deal for someone wanting to upgrade. I have a couple  CPU'S and panels if someone wants just one or the other. Can still make a deal on singles.

Question - If I upgrade to an NXT2 CPU, can I still play all of the BB1 games I currently own or do I need to swap CPU's back to the NXT1.
I have the TSE board installed and an NEC top screen installed.
Is there a list of games somewhere that lists the games that can be played with this configuration.

I am guessing that I would need to upgrade the main LCD to a widescreen to complete the transformation to a BB2.

Thanks for the education and it looks like a great deal.

You can play the bb1 games that use an OS that starts with SSG, the ones that use os cards with SSOS are not compatible with nxt2 and you would have to use the old bb1 mpu for those.  Basically speaking bb1 games that use the ssg type os are bb2 compatible and will work as is with the oled panel (with a few exceptions like top gun and the original wizard of oz).  The newer bb2 games that use dongle and require widescreen will look chopped off on your narrow screen and will require an upgrade to the widescreen monitor.

Why oh why didn't they make Big Money Cheese Caper compatible with the NXT2?  That's really the only game that I ever dig the NXT1 out for.  Oh wait, Super Jackpot Party is the other one...if only somebody could track down the BB2 version of it.

Yea, Big Money Cheese Caper is great and also Lucky Meerkats/Lucky Lemmings. This would be a no brainer upgrade for me if I did not have to also replace the main monitor/bezel. It does not look like a fun project and I would hate to damage my BB1 cabinet beyond repair.

I think I should just break down and find a BB2 so I can have both side by side.

The main monitor conversion really isn't bad at all.  I was also afraid of doing it at first, but the gang out here is so helpful.  It went really smooth for the most part.  Once you go to an NXT2, that's all you'll want to play.  The graphics are smooth like butter on the NXT2.  My downfall was buying Zeus 2 when I had my NXT1/BB1.  The stuttering graphics drove me mad.  Playing on an NXT2 and widescreen is like playing a whole different game.  Then there are the G+ Deluxe/Reel Boost/Colossal Reel/iGame/Double Money Burst games that REALLY take advantage of the horsepower! 

Just go for it.  :)
