S AVP 3.0 error "ticket printer offline ID:0

Just got another couple AVP's and started installing Bettorslots Tito.  I am stuck with the first machine I have attempted.  Programmed all per Jim's installation  and programming video.  It is seeing the TITO device, as it's lights are on steady.  But this error message will not go away.  Tried swapping the Ithaca 950 prointer, no change.


It should be noted, I just got these machines, and the printers were not enabled, cash out would force a hand pay.


Thanks in advance for any ideas,  There must be something I missed in the settings.

I'm not that much of a printer guy or tito for that matter.  go to setup,  communication, protocol, serial sas 1 , address 1 ,advanced use Validation style "system".  Make sure in initial settings you have the printer enabled and set up correctly.  You cannot do this with credits on the machine.  Also check your USB cable from printer to backplane-remove and re-seat.

Exactly how I set it up.  But curious what you mean by having printer enabled in initial settings.  Not sure where those initial settings are.  But the specific ones mentioned are all set that way.
Another reason I know the Bettor Tito board is set up right, if you unplug the Bettor Tito device, the machine throws another error about a missing SAS device, so that part is working it seems. 


Where in the heck to do I look for more settings?

Are you using USB printers?  All the avp machines I've seen have used the USB Printers.

Yes, using Ithaca 950 Netplex/USB Printers.  Got one of the two games working with it.  Afraid I have a bad printer, or wrong firmware in the non working printer.  On the non working printer, I can print the settings for the printer and it does NOT have the line that says USB FW like the ticket on the working unit has.  It shows, on the 4th line down, USB FW : 022 on the working printer. 


I think I need a proper printer?
