 Hello, anybody up for a game of Name This Theme? I picked up a set of BB2 transmissive reels and don’t know the game that the strips originally went with.  If I can round up the software and it doesn’t require any specific top boxes, etc. it would be fun to add a new game to the rotation.

The game is Record Jackpots.  Strips look pretty faded in spots though.

No, Record Jsckpots does not require a Star Topper, it’s not that type of game. No topper is required.

Just curious, other than not having the software, do you have the reel shelf, controller and monitor to go with the reels?

 I wonder if there is more than one version to the game, all the videos that I see online have the star topper.  I already use Alice and Goldfish transmissive so I have all the pieces and parts. I would just need the software and depending on whether these strips and software require the star topper, possibly that as well.  I picked up this set of reels to make the Goldfish/Alice swap easier.  The Alice strips I have, also have some condition issues and I’m not sure they will hold up to many swaps


The NLG logo hid the Top Star logo on the first pic.  If you click into the second you can see it

So I should have known better than to post my confusion, over the knowledge that idesign and rickhunter we’re sharing.  To close this out and avoid others having the same issue as me, I was able to get software and get the reels up and running without any mention anywhere in the set up for a star topper. 


I’m not sure what those videos and pictures represent, but it didn’t have an impact for me.


Once again, thank you for the great advice!  The strips are a bit faded, but the game is fun and I appreciate the help in getting it added to my rotation!

There are two versions of this game!  I've never seen the one with the star topper,  but your strips had the stacked speaker symbols, which is the HHSR game.  Here's a video of the star topper version, it has a star symbol on the strips.
