S6000 -> S9000 : Head / transport compatibility ?

Is it possible to install the head/transport setup to a S6000 in a S9000 ?


Both are RS232 ?

I compared both head / transport setup together, and they are really very similar EXCEPT the sort of board circled in blue.

Can I test by putting the board from the S9000 BV to the S6000 BV ?

That sideboard is an RS-232 adapter for the wba validators, you could move it over to see if it works, but the issue at play here for me is whether or not the software used on the S6000 is the same as the one used on the S9000's.  Since I never did anything with the 6000's, I don't know if they use IDO 03 like the S9000 uses as their validator protocol.  Somebody who has had experience with the 6000 platform should be able to confirm what protocol it used.  If they do both use the same protocol ID, it should work if you just move the RS-232 sideboard over.

I confirm you can move the RS-232 board from a S9000 BV to a S6000 BV...it's works !!!!


Tomorrow I'll test the opposite. The S9000 BV without the RS-232 board on my S6000
