I am wanting to test the button lights on a S Plus Money Storm. I don't know what buttons should be lit up when. I know I can take the bulbs out and test them but that does not tell me if the sockets work. Also does not tell me if the light is being told to come on. Is there anything out there that tells when each button light should come on and maybe how to test them. I read something about it might be different for different games. Thanks for any help

sixcardmark, Thanks for that. I tried that and it don't seem to work on this machine for some reason. Do you happen to know how many times I would need to press the test button to get to the 2 in the coins played window?

SP731 will get you there with 6 pushes. Did that work for yours it's close number?

I found in a couple places were it says the Haywire machine has chips -ss3732 and sp779. The exact same chips this Money Storm has in it.

OK SP779 is haywire chip, they are clone games then. Don't have any setup so don't know how many pushes, you should be able to find it.

Note that if you have an upright S+ machine, the "change" (call attendant) button does not light up -- there are no wires going to the lamp socket for that button.

It would be nice if there was a way you could make all of the buttons come on at one time. My problem is not knowing on this machine when the buttons should come on. This machine is set to play with quarters so there is never any credits on the machine. The only button that lights up is the Spin reels button. Does there need to be credits on the machine for any of the other buttons to come on? The change button is not suppose to light up as knagl mentioned. Also the thing is if I try to put credits on the machine with the little button on the comparter it will only ring up 2 credits on the coins played window. That might be how it is if the game is in coin play. I have not even messed with or tried the bill validator. I don't think it makes any noise at bootup. It might not be turned on. Thanks for everyone's help so far.

If there are no credits on machine no buttons should be lit except for the cash/credit button. Push it to light it up and wins will go to credit meter. If it is not lit (or not blinking on/off) wins get paid by the hopper.

Pushing the test switch 6 times does not get me into the output test. On the 6th push my winner paid shows 72 and everything else is blank. Let me ask this. Should there be anything else on any of the displays besides the 2 in the coins played window when I get to the output test? Thanks

Ok I never get the 2 in coins played window and 10 in winner paid window no matter how many times I push the test switch. Am I maybe doing something wrong? I probably don't really need it anymore because I got some credits on the machine now so I can see which bulbs are not lighting. I just need to get some 555 bulbs now. But it will drive me crazy not figuring out how to get the machine in output test mode. Thanks

Try pressing the test button one time then pressing the bet one credit button to get there.

go to this link, http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=18866.0 download the flip cards they explain every test in the machine, what the numbers should be in all the windows for the respective tests.

in your case, since you have the SP779 , you can use the buttons on the door to navigate through the tests and menus!

no credits on the machine, open door, press the white test button one time, you are now in the diagnostic test mode!, look at the flip cards, look at the column that has the coins played window information, press the bet one button to advance to the next test, it will tell you what number is supposed to be in the coins played window, winner paid window, credits window for that particular test, if you bypass a test you can go in reverse by pressing the max bet button, once you get to the test you want, you use the change button to advance through that particular test, so lets get to the following test! whereas you have a 5_0 or 5_1 or a 5_2 in the winner paid window, now if you press the change button, it will advance to 6_0, 7_0 etc. the second number is the adjustable number, you want to look at 8_1 and 9_1, this tells you the status of bill mode payout and bill unit enable. next time you press the bet one button you should see a 10_1, press it again you should see a 10, now press the change button and watch it go through the output tests each time you press the change button, when you reach number 40 you should be able to press the spin button and turn on the lamp indicated, etc.
pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

Well I finally got into output test. Mine did not have 2 in the coins played window when I got to the 10. It had 0 in the coin played window. It had 0 in coin played and 10 in winner paid. The coins played stayed on 0 the whole time. Could it have something to do with the chips for this game. No wonder I had so much trouble trying to figure it out. I was looking for a 2 the whole time. If anyone has anymore information on this please let me know. Thanks to everyone for the help.

You were not in output test mode if there was not a 2 in coins played window.

It did all of the output tests. I would get to a number press spin button the button light for that number would come on as long as I would leave the spin button pressed. So I don't know how it could do that if I was not in the output test. I will try it again tomorrow and report back. Thanks
