Saving progress on a Williams Database game

Such as Star Trek and Lord of the Rings. Is there a way to connect the machine to a server to be able to save progress?
Has anyone attempted this?

There is no way.  The server was never even released to casinos, it was always a WMS leased game and so all information was stored wherever WMS has their cloud service.

Save your progress by never cashing out. Leave credits on the machine when you power it off. Progress will resume when you restart.

... and Superteam   or whatever that BB3 title was.
Think I read somewhere when it did work, it would print the info on a ticket.  So maybe it could be spoofed over SAS or something.  It would be cool if someone had a ticket.

The ticket was validated by the WMS server, it was the same way for star trek and lord of the rings.  There is no way of duplicating the service unless you can somehow get the documentation from wms on how to do it and their server software.  It is not a sas transaction where you just validate a ticket to give credits, it is not even done through sas, I'm pretty sure it uses wmsp to talk to wap, just like progressive information.  SAS hidden little trick is that manufacturers have to pay IGT for the use of SAS, so they try and use it only for those things that are absolutely necessary, like TITO, EFT, etc.  Anything else every slot manufacturer has their own protocol they use for other slot communication.
