G23 Button Panel Flashing CSDA

I replaced two buttons with known working buttons,  I get the flashing CSDA on all buttons.  I have replaced the HDMI with new on and still get the same.  Any ideas what to check next.  Thanks

USB connection. The mini USB end is notorious for getting too loose. A poor HDMI will cause corruption in the image data. USB causes a CSDA, no signal, button flashing, I do not know what the CSDA stands for but, I believe it represents all the signals that are working. various types of damage and you won't get CSDA. This is assuming you had a working setup before the failure. Emulated games may not readily adapt to OLED buttons.

The small board can have component failure on it, usually detected by a simple visual inspection. Fairly common with short and spill damage.

You may also want to check your dip switch configuration on the small board where the Ribbon Cable attaches.


If they are not configured correctly for that cabinet or Controller firmware, it will cause those messages to show on the. Buttons.


I have an SMLD that was doing the same thing. But I can't tell you what configuration you need, as they are all different.

Just a suggestion, I have noticed the factory USB cable after sitting in the hot machine baking over years becomes stiff as well as the HDMI cable.  Obviously the USB cable doesnt have any movement but replacing the HDMI cable with a smaller and more flexible jacket may save wear and tear on the little ribbon cable board.  For a few dollars off amazon gives some piece of mind.
