Bally 6000 Blazing 7s Bill acceptor does not work

Just picked up a Blazing 7s that had a dead battery so I replaced it, cleared the machine & went thru all of the settings to set it up for coins & a bill acceptor. It plays fine with quarters but the bill acceptor just cycles 10 times & it's showing the round cross out symbol on the entry plate & won't go to doubke green arrows. I'm guessing this is a Mars unit & I set it up that way on the dip switch 2 settings. Is there another way to enable this bill acceptor or could it just be bad? The pull handle is also locked in the up position as well, is there a way to make it work again properly?

I'm not sure. You could check with the  vendors here. But I never seen one in a Bally 6000. The newer Mars MEI Yellow are more common. As well as the WBA. A WBA assembly  most likely the least expensive?

WBA is the way to go. Get a 13 so you can update easy for the new money
