TITO tilt with credits

So the printer on the AVP died (at least to the point where I can't remove the tilt). The unit has a TITO system so I can't just remove the printer and keep going. It will give tilt device offline if unplugged. Since there is credits on the machine I can't change the settings to disable printer, and since it's tilting I can't use the credits. Any way to fix this without a complete wipe/reset? I am going to get a new printer and flash that but will it still tilt if it detects a different printer? Any way to force a handpay?

I believe if you unplug the tito board and then cash out it will go to handpay.

If I unplug TITO it says "validation system offline" and will not let me cash out.

Do you happen to know if it checks for the same serial/firmware version on printer replacement and will that cause another tilt? If not I will find out in a couple days.

Slot will work if you shut off printer in menu setup.  Simply set legacy bonusing to on and you can add credits from button board.  Of course you won't be able to print tickets but slot will work.  You will have to run the diagnostics and clear the backplane and pci card to remove the credits.  Don't clear the hard drive.  You will have to  reprogram the slot but will not lose its content.

I don't think the system cares if printers are replaced. What's the worst that can happen, it doesn't work and you are going to have to clear anyway?

Okay clearing PCI only got me back to usable without the printer. Ideally I was trying to not wipe the settings because I throw All star poker on top of Game King and there are so many games to configure its a royal PITA. Looks like I will do it anyways, thanks guys.
