Ballyl EM slot 831-c, I put coin in it goes 2nd coin immediately

I have a Bally 831-c machine. The problem is that when I put in the 1st coin, the light on the 2nd coin comes on right away. The next coin lights up the light of the 3rd coin. So I can’t play with the single coin mode at all. I went through the stepper unit and it seems to be ok. It has only three steps, should there be four steps? Or where the fault may be?


Summary: The machine works well but it can only be played in two coin mode, which can be accessed with one coin, and in three coins mode, which can be accessed with two coins? Please help me? I have schematics but it is hard to find the problem from that...

Hi, as I remember the line unit set up has two steps, the first coin will not engine the set up relay as the handle switch is still open. After the first coin is inserted, the handle switch closes which makes it possible for the second coin to engine the set up relay. Maybe your handle switch should be adusted accordingly, cheers Herbie

Hi, that is right. I checked and sdjusted all the switches from the reel mechanism (including coin relay) and now it is working well!! Thank You very much!!

I am happy for you, but the handle release switch is above the handle mechanism not on the reel mechanism, cheers Herbie
