Want to finally add progressive. questions/suggestions welcome.

Hello,

I have an s2000 5 times pay 3M with a 9in top box with a printer in the top.

The game I have is compatible with progressive.

I was wondering what is the easiest way to add progressive to my machine.

I would like to add a display but don't know what one or where to get.

Is there a display that can fit in the 3/4 blank next to the printer?

Is there a top box mount display option?

What would you do to setup progressive on this machine?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

A spectrum display is natively supported by the s2000 hardware, no controller needed.  Just power and netplex connections.  If you don't have the glass with the progressive window in it, others here have found creative ways to add the display by making a box to hold the display and installing it between the topper and the top of the slot.  I don't believe the display will fit in the player tracking area, but I could be wrong as I've never tried.  If you do  search for progressive in the s2000 board, you should be able to find the way others have done it.  To program the progressive you will need to key the machine and setup the progressive parameters, there should be a post somewhere here on how to do it, but if you just go through the menus, it should be self-explanatory.  Basically set a current value, a reset value, contribution percentage and I believe you need to link it to a paytable id (I could be wrong on this, it has been a long time since I setup a progressive).

I am just an average Joe (Ed) that acquired a few machines and I used to build PC's so this wasn't that difficult once you have some guidance.

I was successful in adding a Progressive to two different IGT S2000 machines, one 3x 4x 5x times pay and one Triple Double Wild Cherry, all thanks to this forum.  I know it can be difficult sometimes to find exactly what you're looking for in here so I can send you all the pdf's and pictures to save you time.  The Spectrum display is the easiest and best option.  It will take a bit of creativity and ingenuity to mount it wherever your specific machine has room, but after that it pretty easy in the Key 7 menu to configure all the settings.  I mounted them in the old player tracking space with some modified bracketing.
