WMS BB2 System Halted

I'm guessing this means the dongle is crap...would you agree?
Why do they get corrupted?...was just in the machine that was on a live floor for about 2 years.
Never pulled it out of the USB port.
Machine has been maintained periodically, fans are good, temperature is good.

I throw in a known good USB D75F key dongle with existing GAME & OS cards, and it passed all checks.
Game is back up andd running.
Proved the other key that was in it, is no good.
As far I know....unrepairable?

yeah bad dongle.  Doesn't happen often but it does happen.  Static zap, power surge on usb port, bad luck.

At least I know my troubleshooting was in the right direction.
I was hoping it was just a bad USB port, but I tried getting it to pass in all of the other 3 ports on the board....no go.
