Aristocrat Pelican Pete Bill Feeder red

 The bill feeder is acting like the cash box is not in place. The lights on it are always red. I checked all connections, and even replaced the cash box. No change. The bill feeder was running slow before it failed so maybe it needs to be replaced but no faults are showing. I did find a small piece of plastic in the cash box that at first I thought broke off the cash box but probably came from from bill feeder but I've examined it and can't figure out where. Should I go ahead and replace it? turns out it was all programmings.
