Triple Diamond error 41,42,43

Hello,

Got my first machine (IGT Triple Diamond) and this seems like the same issue I’m running into. From what I can tell, I have a 10MHz chip on a 16MHz board, and I’m randomly seeing errors 41,42, and 43.

It seems like I need to get a new 16MHz chip(or 10Mhz board). Someone here mentioned contacting another member to get the chip, is that the best place to go for that or anywhere else? Would I also need any set/clear chips to end up getting the machine working? It has a bill validator that I’d like to work as well. I’ve attached some pictures and would be glad to provide more if needed, thank you!!

Yes, contact member RB, he can get you the correct SB SP chip for your game title and 16Mhz MPU board as well as set/clear chips too if you want them.

No Straycat...it's a 16Mhz MPU.
If you look closely in the first photo, you will see the unoccupied solder pads for a potentiometer dial - just above the CMOS chip.
IGT didn't put a volume dial on the 16Mhz MPUs.
To set the volume, you would now have to go into the settings - instead of turning a knob.

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the help! Got the chips quickly thanks to RB and got them in the machine got the reels spinning and working better. Now on to the next couple fixes needed.
