S6000 Only giving 3 credits on 5 credit machine

Hello I picked up a ballys s6000 Monte Carlo spin and win 5 cent 5 line machine with bonus wheel r I believe who had it messed with settings , dip switches ect it will only put 3 credits when pushing coin button on mpu instead of 5 and bill validator won’t except bills just attempt to for second I’m figuring cause denomination issue ? All info found is for 25 cent set up not real familiar with ballys any help would be appreciated thanks

Dip switches have no effect on the proper 3 or 5 coin game. I'm thinking you have the wrong personality chips for your machine. U18 and U20. Can you post pictures of the MPU showing the SMI numbers on the U18 and U20. Also post a picture of your machine.?

Hi sunrise thanks for the response yes I was wondering that also guy had mains in backwards when I got machine figured would be a challenge to fix.

Mains U28 U43 might be toasted being they were in backwards? I would replace them also.

The u18 and u 20 doesn’t have any numbers just wrote on with a black sharpie marker I’m trying to load pictures keeps say file to large sorry still trying to figure out haven’t posted pictures here before.

The only possibility on a match would be to look for the 4 digit SMI number on the metal part of the reel bracket on a sticker then cross that to those U18 and U20 chips.
