Igt G20 3.0 endless boot HELP!!!

Hello all,
I recently picked up a G20 and I'm ready to set it on fire, when I got it the first day playing I hit a stinkin rich bonus that kept crashing the whole machine and I had to wipe everything and start all over. I got everything back and loaded it up with a couple games last week and everything was working fine, today I fired it up and it just goes to the AVP boot page then makes a pop noise and reboots again, keeps doing it back to back. I tried putting my ekey and diagnostic key in and it doesn't leave the AVP boot screen, I also noticed my ekey stick isn't lighting up as it has a little green light when I plug it into the machine built into the stick, when I turn the machine on and off I see the light on my ekey blink momentarily but then nothing. Any ideas??

You will probably have to wipe it and reinstall the OS and games. Cold start the machine with the ekey and diagnostic both installed. It should boot from the diagnostic instead of the hard drive. Stinkin' Rich has a known issue of locking up during the trash can bonus. For that reason, I avoid installing it.

Yeah I cleared the whole system, reloaded the os and a couple games and it was working great till today, now my brainbox isn’t coming on, it blinks one time when starting then nothing .

If your G20 is a V1, it uses the same 300W PS as a S2000. You can test a known good one in it or test yours in a S2000 or GK. The mounting bracket is different but that's only 4 screws. Not sure if a V2 has the same PS. Other than that, you can make an independent harness to plug it in outside of the machine and test the output voltages with a multimeter.

Would a bad power supply cause the fan on the cpu not to turn on as well? I see the fan kicking on.

A low VBAT battery will also hang it up on the AVP screen, seen it a few times myself after being told by an IGT tech about it.

Clearing the cmos by using the jumper on the motherboard fixed it all
