No go then.  PLCC sockets don't make contact to all pins if they're cracked and it won't boot...  Superglue won't hold it together.  Only hacky way would be "maybe" if you had a small ziptie you could wrap around the socket so it holds together to contact all pins when a chip is pressed in the socket.

Otherwise, the board itself is toast.  Resoldering a PLCC socket is far too difficult.  But keep the bios chip and the PCI card/it's bios chip somewhere safe.

Put the video card in your old box and you'll have good performance.

And if you REALLY want a backup 660 Brainbox, get one from GET-T for $150 and it won't be messed up. It will be tested & complete, but no bios chip.  Says 2GB is in them, but ones I've bought all had 4GB.  And it will have an SSD in it already too.

Put the bios chips into it, and you'll have a working 660 box.  And for that $150 you'll also have a second PCIE video card.

Few sell the PCIE video card by themselves for under $300.   Why when you can get an entire Brainbox with that PCIE card included for $150?

This box I got locally and it had Gett stickers on it. I aloready have 3-e4690 cards. Just wanted another box to play wit, and possibly put fam 20 games on it.

I won't give up on this box yet!

Heh.  No harm trying once you know what the problem is!

Side note, many do want just that E4690 card.  If you offered your extras in the NLG Classifieds at a "fair" price, like $100 + shipping each, they'd likely sell quick and it's $$$ for something else on your machine!

I was thinking of the very small zipties.  Local stores might have them if you don't.  Not sure if a normal width ziptie will work.  But don't think you can break it twice so I'd likely give it a shot with any ziptie!
