TwinStar Installer issue

I purchased a As Complete machine and everything is working except the bill Validator.  It's a JCM iVizion.  When I go to install a game it says bill Validator not detected. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in.  There is solid green light on at the top of the head.  It never cycles though.  Any thoughts or ideas of things I can try?

Maybe the  validator is not flashed with the right software.  When you buy a parts complete machine, it doesn't mean that all he parts originally belonged to that machine.  Sometimes techs just take validators they have laying around and put them in to complete the parts.  Does the validator have any stickers as to what type of software is installed on it?

Most techs would put a sticker on the validator with the software version installed.  Your validator doesn't seem to have the sticker.  You would need to attach the validator to a pc running JCM Tools software that can identify what is installed on the validator.  Unfortunately it is no longer open to the public for download.  Though you may be able to find it somewhere on the internet.  Google JCM tools Suite.

I looked for the software online and was unable to find it.  I talked to the business I bought the machine from and they agreed to check the firmware and upgrade it next week when I visit them.  I also chatted with  Patriot Gaming and didn't realize these BV's have compliance restrictions.  Even if I was to buy the software I still couldn't get access to the bin file to program it as you have a gaming license.

So I was able to get the JCM software and tried connecting to the BV and was able to connect once but now I'm unable to connect to it again. The BVs in these two machines are iVizion BV's with a USB harness.  The other two machines I bought refurbished have MEI SC advanced and have a totally different harness. (Yellow).  Even if I was to get the correct yellow harness for two more MEI BVs I don't have the harness from the backplane to the BV frame.  Does anyone know where I could buy two of these harnesses?
