Thanks a lot, I'll check it, I already ordered the Trifurcon terminals for replacement.
Hope that it is only that and not something else on the mainboard or something else.

I have finally found time to measure the plug. I have the following values:

orange 1 = 131VAC
orange 2 = 111VAC
brown/blue = 86VAC
blue = 86VAC
green 1 = 81VAC
green 2 = 122VAC

For information,  I live in Switzerland, the input voltage is 230V (AC), but the plug had already been changed to a Swiss plug so I assume this is not a problem, but wanted to mention it.

Does anyone have any idea why these values are so high?

Could this be due to the input voltage (230V) being too high, or is the power supply unit not well earthed or something I can check? Does anyone have a power supply they would sell?

The transformer tap selection on the bus bar has to be moved over and changed to European voltage.
The bus bar is located inside the power supply box or on the floor behind the coin hopper...depending on which power supply your cabinet has.
Look at the bus bar, if there's a space between the purple and black wire, the machine is set for 115VAC.
You have to move the purple wire next to the black wire to get 230VAC...doubling the voltage.
When you move the tap wire correctly, you will get the voltages on the motherboard's white Molex connector below in the second photo.

Below are the voltages coming out of each tap on the bus bar.

Can you mark on my photo where the purple and black wire should be, or can you indicate whether it is set to 115V or 230V?

This is what I measured. Could it be due to a faulty power supply, or why do I have 24V AC instead of 7.5V?

From your photo, it looks like you have the older transformers for the cabinets that are on the rear area on the floor.
I'm used to seeing the cabinets with the boxed power supply on theright hand side of the cabinet under the bill accptor area.
Yours would have the bus bar bolted directly to the floor.

In your photo, I DO see the black/purple wire in the loom of the harness.
Follow that wire to the end and take a photo of exactly where it's connected on the black bus bar.
Try to show what colored wires plugged into the bus bar next to it.

The black/purple wire ends at the rear with a black plug.

That's the bus bar...and because the red/black wire is plugged in next to it, you should be set for Euro 230VAC voltages.
The purple wire adds an additional 115 volts from the transformer.

That means the input voltage should be correct? But what about the output voltages I measured on the Molex connector? I also checked the contacts inside and pulled them out and bent them again so that they make a secure connection. What I notice when I switch it on is that there must be a brief voltage on the reels because it buzzes very briefly. I have checked all the fuses. It is still the case that nothing happens except for the buzzing, there is no display on the screen and the lamp on the coin acceptor does not light up either.

If those are accurate readings,  then pull the plug off the connection and check the voltages again, if you get the correct readings, with it off, then something is shorting underneath the motherboard. If the voltages are the same, something is shorting on the back of the transformer .

Hope this helps

Jim

Hi Jim,

I get the measurement when the plug is disconnected. I will check whether the power supply has something stuck somewhere. If I don't find anything, I may have to replace it with a new one. What should I look for and does it need to be modified?

Thanks, Ulrich

If the “old” power supply is faulty, what kind of power supply do I need to get and what needs to be adjusted in terms of the cabling?

In this photo below, you can see the black/purple wire running down into the black bus bar on the floor.
I'm trying to point it out to you by drawing a green box around it.
Try to take a clear photo of the wires plugged into that.
Especially which exact socket the purple wire is plugged down into.

I already posted that earlier in this thread. The question is whether I can simply replace the power supply and what costs/adjustments I can expect. I would like to get it up and running next spring.

Before you purchase anything, I think you should go back and measure those voltages again. Your meter has to be set to AC VOLTAGE, to measure AC VOLTAGE, you have to use the AC ground located on the six pin connector on the motherboard.
Example of these measurements :
Black lead on the green wire, red lead on one of the orange wires, reading should be 12VAC
Black on green, red on other orange 12VAC
Black on green, red on brown 7/8 VAC
Black on green , red on blue 7/8 VAC
BLACK on orange, red on other orange 24 VAC

TRY THIS AND SEE WHAT RESULTS YOU GET!

Also, you have a coin lodged between the cabinet wall and input filter , input filter is where the power cord plugs into.

Hope this helps

Jim
