WMS 400 Non Dotmatrix reel strip issue

I have a WMS 400 non dotmatrix Reel 'em In 3 reel slot.  The strips on the machine have the same symbols as the strips pictured but my strips have 2 extra symbols at the bottom, small mounted fish and a 7 also in picture. 

The current u3 eprom I believe is for the strips that have less 'stops' or symbols since currently it pays in inappropriate areas including between symbols.  All the action and game play is there.

I don't believe the strips are off location.  The black dot on the strip lines up with the top locator hole.  I also know the strips are in their correct position, strip 1,2 and 3.

Any help to solve this is appreciate. I'd be interested in strips but prefer to find the correct u3 if possible.

I would start with going into the Diagnostic menu and doing a reel alignment test.  This will show you if the reels/reel strips need to be adjusted.
